Kia Ora,

I am a retired Primary Teacher. I spent the last fifteen years of my career teaching at Cobden School in Greymouth.

My husband Peter and I worked on the Coast for over twenty years, having a home in Hokitika. In 2022 we sold up to roam freely in our caravan. Not so freely I suppose as we get caught in Christchurch having two adult children and a grandson there.

Retiring and living in a caravan has meant some changes to the way we live but in many ways our life has been enhanced. I have always liked writing.  As of yet, I haven’t written a best-selling novel but I have in my time written hundreds of reports, and I did write a blog about caravanning life for a year or so.  The Wi-Fi connection inside the caravan has ensured we haven't been cut off from the world.  I was able to connect with my class and my study group while seated in our moving abode through the two covid lockdowns.

This year in January 2026 I completed a Proofreading and Editing course through NZBIS and I am ready again to resume connecting to others via the caravan, this time helping to proofread people's written work
